Many thanks to all those that sponsored us on the 3 peaks challenge! The official Time was 25 hours, 21 minutes! Not bad for a first attempt!
Of the original team, Richard had to drop out before the challenge due to a leg injury and during the challenge poor Caz hurt her hip on Scafell Pike and was unable to carry on with Ben Nevis (much to her frustration!). However 4 of us made it all the way! Us walkers must say 'Many Thanks' also to our support team and drivers - Tracy Jolliffe and Pam Carter - Thanks Guys! We couldn't have made it without you, you are the best support team ever and deserve a medal for putting up with our smelly feet!
Copyrite would also like to thank ABACUS VAN HIRE(www.abacusvanhire.co.uk) who very generously donated the use of a minibus for the weekend. We were very lucky with the weather and apart from fog and snow at the top of Ben Nevis , we had sunshine for most of the challenge. We started at Snowdon on Saturday morning and finished at the top of Ben Nevis on Sunday morning (then we had to get down!)
Confidence was boosted by the fact that there were a group of commandos walking up Ben Nevis at the same time as us as we reached the top at the same time!
